SuperValu Westport unveil the pioneering new Solus Customer Lighting Experience with Former Miss World Rosanna Davison
Leading Irish lighting company Solus launched their pioneering new Customer Lighting Experience in SuperValu Westport with Managing Director Noel Kavanagh and Sales Director Mark Kavanagh of the Kavanagh Group, joined by Former Miss World Rosanna Davison and Sales and Marketing Manager David Reynolds from Solus. This marks the exclusive roll out of the Solus Customer Lighting Experience across the Kavanagh Group
The Kavanagh Group, headquartered in Westport, is now Ireland's largest independent supermarket retail company with sixteen supermarkets across Ireland and Britain including 9 SuperValu Stores in the republic of Ireland, 2 in Northern Ireland and five Budgens stores in the U.K. The group also owns and operates a number of other businesses in the hotel, hospitality and hardware sectors across Ireland and the UK.. The Kavanagh Group employs in excess of 1,100 people and provide their customers with the best possible quality and service in everything they do.
The new Solus Customer Lighting Experience is both interactive and informative. There are up to 8 bays but the size of the display can be tailored to the space available and the design and production is of the highest quality. After over a year of research and design, Solus found that customers were often overwhelmed by the complexity of choice in the light bulb sector with lots of different considerations including wattage, fitting, product type, energy benefits and more.

The new Solus Retail Experience displays predict and answer user’s questions in a simple friendly way. The customer is brought on a journey with clear visuals and descriptions from Halogen and LED to the new premium Solus XCross™ Filament LED range. Various shapes including the classic bulb, candle, reflectors, round and fluorescent each have their own wattage guide and fitting options be it bayonet or screw fit. The interactive ‘try me’ stations is a pioneering move and a first for the lighting sector as customers can see exactly what the bulb looks like when lit in a familiar room setting.
