Newstalk’s editor in chief, Garrett Harte, has resigned from his role with the radio station.
Newstalk announced his departure this morning, saying that he was leaving in order “to pursue other interests”.
Harte has been a senior editor at Newstalk since 2002. Prior to joining Newstalk, he worked as current affairs editor at TV3 and producer with UTV.
Harte said he was proud of the work he had done in the station over the years and was leaving to “concentrate on other media projects”.
Newstalk’s Chief Executive, Tim Collins, has said that the process has begun to find Harte’s replacement.
