Paul Melia has been newly appointed Environment Editor of the Irish Independent. He was previously a news correspondent and environment correspondent for the paper after joining Independent Newspapers in 1999.
He is a graduate from the National University of Ireland, Galway, and also graduated from Maynooth.
Paul is an award winning journalist, known for his authoritative work on water charges, road safety, transport and renewable energy.
