After almost a decade with Today FM, Fergal O’Brien is set to go from the airwaves to the television screen as he will join TV3 next month.
Fergal will be accustomed to his role in TV3’s News department as he spent the best part of ten years reading news bulletins and reporting the latest current affairs in the country for Today FM. Fergal has covered everything from general elections to a presidential election and has worked in the field, producing audio reports for the hourly bulletins on the national broadcasting radio station.
He worked as a news correspondent since the amalgamation of news services between Today FM and Newstalk, which also resulted him in filing reports for the 27 local radio stations network. In his early career, Fergal was also a sports presenter and reporter for Mid-West Radio.
Fergal will be sorely missed at Today FM but he is sure to do an equally professional and competent job for TV3 in the years to come.
