Longstanding newsreader and journalist Michelle McMullan has followed a recent trend of journalists in Ireland pivoting to politics and has left the industry.

David McCullagh has taken on a new role with RTÉ Radio One

David McCullagh currently shares hosting duties for Prime Time with Miriam O’Callaghan. In addition to this, he has now taken on a job anchoring RTÉ Radio One’s This Week show.

Rosanna Cooney has joined The Times Ireland Edition 

Rosanna Cooney is now a digital journalist and social media manager with The Times Ireland Edition. She previously worked as a courts reporter and journalist with

Juliette Gash has moved to RTÉ

Juliette Gash was a senior reporter at Today FM.  She has moved to RTÉ and is now a Multimedia Reporter for Morning Ireland.

Paul Quinn joined the Virgin Media TV news team.

Paul Quinn previously worked as a broadcast journalist for ABC, Newstalk and Shannonside FM. He is now working as a news reporter with Virgin Media Tv.

Paul Hosford has left

Paul Hosford was a journalist covering a multitude of topics including news, politics, sports, technology and music at He has left journalism to pursue a career in PR.
