Darren McCaffrey, an Ireland correspondent with Sky News, announced on Twitter that he will be leaving the Sky News team to become the Political Editor and a co-presenter of EuroNews when it relaunches in September.

2. Sarah-Clayton Lea leaves Lovin Dublin to head up Food & Wine magazine
Former Deputy Editor of Lovin Dublin, Sarah-Clayton Lea has joined the team at Food & Wine magazine as their new editor.
3. RTE’s Chief News Editor has retired
Ray Burke has been working with RTE News for a number of years. He recently announced his retirement from the national broadcaster.
4. BAI Released Reuters Institute Digital News Report 2018
BAI has released the Reuters Institute Digital News Report (Ireland) 2018. The report finds that fewer consumers are using Facebook to access news, whereas more consumers are now willing to pay for news.

5. Her.ie appoints new Beauty Editor
Rebecca O’Keefe has left her position with SHEmazing, where she was acting Deputy Editor, to become the new Beauty Editor for the popular website, Her.ie.

TheJournal.ie have enlisted a new reporter for the their growing newsroom.

Our research team have also spent a lot of time cross-checking the news desks of regional newspapers across the country. Some have been updated accordingly.
