ASBO is an Independent bi-monthly fashion magazine alternative style and culture magazine aimed at young people worldwide.
How will this benefit me as a PR PRO?
ASBO Magazine is a unique magazine for “frustrated youth” which, from their beginnings in 2017, covers music, fashion, film, TV, society, politics and global current affairs. This publication gives young adults a platform to express themselves through fashion and style and their concerns about global issues such as sexism, climate change, fracking and much more.
The main aim of the magazine is to provide a platform for young talent such as budding writers, photographers, graphic designers and stylists with regular features including Street Style, Tagged and Profiles, so that they can “do the job, before they get the job”. This gives PR people the opportunity to get their client onto a platform and introduce them to a wider audience.
As an international magazine, ASBO release issues dedicate it to it’s different audience locations. For example, the recent Bosnian edition where they delved into the culture, music, style and fashion prevalent among young people in the country.
Who’s behind it?
ASBO’s senior team includes Davide J Weller as editor-in-chief, Roisin O’Hare as Fashion Editor, Fashion Features Editor Bunmi Abidogun, Fashion Directors are Ash Allibhai and Zoe Lem, Music Editor Emily Ogoe, and the Creative Director and Co-Founder James May.
Much of its content comes from their readers who are up and coming designers, writers, photographers etc. They include a “Ones to Watch” regular feature where they showcase the fashion created by designers, the images captured by photographers and the powerful pieces written by young writers.
