In-house PR teams are often juggling a number of different campaign tasks and events all at once. If half the team are offsite or working remotely, often it can be difficult to collaborate. There are many online resources available in order to help with workflow and management so that everyone is on the same page.
Here at MediaHQ, we have compiled a list of our top five tools that will help you to be at your PR best for 2019:
We’re a big lover of Google analytics here at MediaHQ. It’s a great resource for keeping up to date with how many views we’re getting on our blog when’s the busiest time on our site, as well as the age and location of our users. Google analytics also helps by showing what content works and what doesn’t. By knowing how readers are interacting with your work, you can tailor your content and press release to your target audience.
Teamwork is excellent for laying out tasks that need to be done. It can be great for keeping on top of workloads, PR campaigns as well as client work. The whole team can access the tasks and it’s a great way of collaborating with colleagues, particularly if some of the team are working remotely. The office and team can be run virtually, and long gone are the days of losing physical to-do lists!
May seem like an obvious one, but it can be hard to remember what everyone in the office is doing on a particular day be it on client sites, a conference or just annual leave. As Google calendar is integrated with Gmail, it’s great for adding events or even specific PR campaign dates. Everyone in the company can add individual colleagues calendars and have an overview of events/campaigns at the click of a button.
Salesforce is a great tool for any business that is continuously looking for new sales targets and clients. When you find a potential lead for your business you can log names, company information and contact details onto the site and then assign follow-ups with your team.
Of course, we’re going to include ourselves in this list!
