While Instagram may not be for everyone, it is the perfect platform for some organisations to express their creativity.
Instagram users generally don’t enjoy their newsfeed being clogged up by the same account. They might forgive it once or twice, but oftentimes it leads to some unfollowing being done.
This is why Instagram Stories are a blessing for brands. It saves brands from ‘overposting’.
Instagram’s official website site says with stories “you can share as much as you want throughout the day—with as much creativity as you want.”
This is a great way for brands to cover events or launches, as it doesn’t clog follower’s newsfeeds and will only be viewed when people decide to watch it.
Instagram is about being creative, and unbranded hashtags are a great way to express your brands creativity and message.
An unbranded hashtag can be beneficial because it’s less promotional, giving it a greater chance to spread and hopefully go viral.
Red Bull’s #PutACanOnIt is an example on a successful unbranded hashtag that really took off- and the best thing about hashtags is they can be used on Instagram and Twitter.
It’s nice to put up an image of a new product or a story of a talk/launch- but don’t forget the story behind your brand that brings your ideas to life.
People and places make stories worth remembering, so why not tell your followers more about them?

Lots of companies that know how to use Instagram successfully will use the #tbt (throwback Thursday) hashtag to tell stories.
There’s more to using Instagram successfully than using your own account.
Lots of company’s use digital influencers to promote their products.
One Irish company in particular are very good at it are Cocoa Brown. Cocoa Brown’s biggest social media promotion came from none other than Kylie Jenner.
Also, if you look at Beats by Dre they also often show celebrities and athletes wearing their headphones on Instagram to promote themselves.
