When it’s time to turn down that press interview
It might seem crazy turning down a media interview, but there are times when it makes sense to say no to a live mic.
The Irish Examiner announced a new edition to the team today in the form of award winning journalist Daniel McConnell.
Daniel, who previously worked for INM as group political correspondent, will now take up the position of political editor at the Cork paper.
The high profile journalist is well known for breaking exclusive stories and is a familiar face on Irish television screens featuring on shows like TV3’s Tonight with Vincent Browne.
In October of 2006, Daniel co-authored ‘The Sunday Times Guide to Secondary Schools in Ireland’ with Colm Murphy.
Prior to working for the Independent, Daniel did a stint with The Sunday Times where he worked on a number of projects including ‘The Good Hospital’s Guide to Ireland’.
The DCU graduate started off his professional journalistic career working as a news reporter for The Irish Times newspaper.
