Beat 102 103 celebrates its 12th birthday today

By MediaHQ

B23South East regional radio station Beat 102 103 has turned 12 years old today, broadcasting form their purpose built studios on the outskirts of Waterford city.

The station started broadcasting on the 1st of July 2003. A music-driven station with a lively mix of news, and talk programming, it’s designed to suit a young adult audience between the ages of 15 to 34. One of the most popular and well known programmes is Beat Breakfast with presenters Niall and Vinny (who we believe met Taylor Swift last night!).

Broadcasting to the South-East the station covers counties Wexford, Waterford, South Tipperary, Carlow, and Kilkenny. The station is renowned for its interaction with listeners through the use of social media.

The ‘Beat Fleet’ are often seen around the sunny South-East giving out spot-prizes and goodies. So if you’re in or around the region today keep an eye out for those cars!

Happy birthday Beat!
